Eligibility Requirements of Affordable Housing
1). Malaysia Citizen
2). You must born, working in Penang and registered voter in Penang or residing in Penang for at least 5 years from the date of application and registered voter in Penang.
3). Aged 21 years and above upon the date application
4). Total household (husband and wife) income per different type of housing as below:-
- For apply the low cost housing type, total household (husband and wife) income not more than RM 2,500.
- For apply the low medium cost housing type, total household (husband and wife) income not more than RM 3,500.
- For apply the affordable housing type at value RM200,000 and below, total household (husband and wife) income not more than RM 6,000.
- For apply the affordable housing type at value RM200,001 to RM300,000, total household (husband and wife) income not more than RM 8,000.
- For apply the affordable housing type at value RM300,001 to RM400,000, total household (husband and wife) income not more than RM 10,000.
5). The applicant and spouse must not own any property in any state in Malaysia for Low Cost/Low Medium Cost applications.
6). The applicant and spouse must not own any low cost/low medium cost property in any state in Malaysia for Affordable Housing applications
